OK this happens! I duplicate outfits sometimes! I changed the shoes though! Not pictured here because I was running late, I was too lazy to make me breakfast and had to run to the bakery’s to buy me some, excuses excuses……I know.
When I was in college I studied in Thessaloniki. One of the most beautiful cities in Greece. 5 wonderful years! I met some amazing people, I have my best friends there (short of, they moved since elsewhere…), I always wanted to go and study there, and I did. The 5 years passed. It was time for my master degree. I applied in Athens but I never wanted to go there. I applied to another university in a city that I had never visited, but it was closer to my home town. I had never been there. I knew no one there. I went for the interview and never imagined that I would go there. I was accepted. I found a little studio and within a month I moved there. I knew nothing about this city!
And then I fell in love. I fell in love with the sea. Thessaloniki is a city by the sea, but not like that! As time went by, I also fell in love with my the love of my life, I was happy. The city won me! I had a bike, and we went for bike rides all day long. When spring arrived everything was so much better that I couldn’t believe it! On summer nights we walked by the sea with ice cream or roasted corn.
This is what was outside our classroom window. I went to class everyday with this outside. How can you not fall in love.
This is one of the university’s building! This!!! Old, beautiful, glamorous and look where it stands.
I lived in a 20 square meters studio, with a terrace bigger that it’s size! I had bamboo chairs and flowers outside, there was a big old platan outside. Everything was so peaceful. Quite.
I feel blessed that I can still visit it and still see my friends, and although I’ve been gone for 2 years, I am still part of this city.
I am mixing my navy silk blouse with dark navy pants, navy jacket and a vivid dark orange pair of ballerinas. I am also carrying my beige bag, I bought in Germany. It is so nice, so practical, so soft, so beautiful!
Fact: I am never again going to try-on or buy 100% cotton jeans!
After having tried on a bajillion jeans in the past 2 years, in every possible fabric, style and fitting (don’t forget that I work in a jeans manufacturing company), I have decided that there are sooooooo many flattering and comfortable 98%CO-2%EA denim fabrics that there is no need for me to feel this uncomfortable in the other ones!
This is the post I had planned on posting when the flowers would be bigger and you could see them! BUT! In one week they are already dead! I am too ashamed to post this picture but here you go..
And to think that I want a puppy,he will be miserable and hungry all the time, AND most important of all I want to be a mother! My kids will probably be overweight because I’ll feed them too much in case I forgot I’d fed them!
The past few weeks I have been making the weirdest of all thoughts! Are you ready?
I don’t want to buy any more shoes! I want all my shoes that have been sitting sad in the closets (notice the plural please!) to come out and have a nice time hurting my feet with their extreme heights (see Decollete Loubs!).
Here. I confessed my thoughts! Now you get the title of this post right?
By now you might all have noticed that my favourite color combo for autumn-winter is this!!!! We went to a fancy restaurant for dinner and since the warm days are not here yet, I chose again my classics.
note: I am not like the Piza tower! And this picture was taken before the wine! It’s just that boyfriend was annoyed that I kept asking for another picture!
The engineers and I handle customer support. When I tell people that, they look at me like I’m smoking crack. They say, “Why would you pay an engineer $150,000 to answer phones when you could pay someone in Arizona $8 an hour?” If you make the engineers answer e-mails and phone calls from the customers, the second or third time they get the same question, they’ll actually stop what they’re doing and fix the code. Then we don’t have those questions anymore.
About a year ago, I bought a red telephone with a really loud ringer for the office. Whenever a customer calls the help number on our website, that phone rings. The engineers initially complained about it. They said, “That’s so friggin’ annoying!” And I’d say, “There’s a really simple solution: Answer the friggin’ phone and do whatever it takes to make that customer happy. Then hang up, unplug the phone, walk it down to the other end of the office, and plug it in down there.” [ cont. inc.]
I was sleeping, but my biological clock gets my eyes open to check the alarm! I checked it. It was 6:00 in the morning. So I had 30 more minutes! Next time I checked? 90 minutes later! I wake up every day way earlier than I am supposed to because I like getting ready for work. Breakfast, make up, hair, clothes, heels you know. I finally woke up right on time to leave the house with whatever clothes were in front of me and no make up (I used the bathroom at work for this!). You know what? I came here earlier than anyone once AGAIN!!
Bottom line? I like getting to work earlier! Gives me the time to feel in control of my day! Getting my desk organised, my to-do list and my coffee! It’s just that I am wearing black jeans, black flats, black cardigan, and messy hair!
